Summary:

"IT trade association CompTIA this week unveiled a new open access model, which it claims marks “a fundamental shift” in the its 30-year membership strategy. The new model, it says, is designed to offer channel partners entry to the association’s resources, as well as greater flexibility ... It model offers two tiers: Registered users are provided with access to educational material, industry research, news and tools for free; and the Premier member tier is available for solution providers, vendors and distributors with access to all of CompTIA’s research, training and education resources, as well as exclusive business tools. All current members will automatically be moved to premier status ... In addition to the new tiers, CompTIA has redesigned its mobile website, which will go live in June this year."
