Summary:

"A specialist in the philosophy of law and open access to knowledge will hold an interactive discussion Monday at Morningside College. Peter Suber will speak at 7 p.m. via Google Hangouts in the UPS Auditorium in Lincoln Center, 3627 Peters Ave. Open access is unrestricted access, made possible by the Internet, to peer-reviewed scholarly research. This allows scholars to write articles for impact and not lose revenue. Suber is the director of the Harvard Office for Scholarly Communication and the Harvard Open Access Project. The event is part of Morningside’s Hickman-Johnson-Furrow Learning Center Virtual Lecture Series. The college broadcasts the lectures on campus and also streams them live at www.youtube.com/user/TheHJFLearningCenter ..."
