Summary:

"The SCOAP3 project is gathering steam, as already 80 US institutions and many many more worldwide have begun to confirm their commitment:  the work of making the project real has begun.  We hope that you have either committed to participate or are actively considering commitment and will follow up soon.    To support this effort, we will sponsor several one-hour webinars.  The three December webinars will cover the same material.  We will spend about 15 -20 minutes in an overview of SCOAP3, who and what it is, and how it will work.  The remainder of the time will be devoted to answering any questions you may have.  The webinars will be recorded and made available by Lyrasis, so that you can review information after the fact.  We may repeat this overview webinar in early January, as needed.  Also in January, we will provide webinars that will serve as 'Calculation Clinics,' about how to use the forthcoming spreadsheet calculator tool to determine your institution's 're-direct' amounts.  This process will have been widely vetted with libraries, consortia, and the publishers, and the tool is aimed to make your effort as easy as possible.   Here is information about the three December introductory Webinars.  You can choose any one of these.  Pre-registration isn't required.  All times are Eastern (New York), aimed at providing a diverse selection for those with different schedules and in different time zones."
