Summary:

"Last week the 60th UK Institutional Repository (IR) saw its usage data starting to appear in IRUS-UK. Since we started gathering data, back in July 2012 (with 5 IRs), we have recorded a total of more than 16 million downloads of over 200,000 items from participating repositories. The latest participants are hosted by Biomed Central’s OpenRepository and we are grateful to colleagues there for adding the IRUS-UK tracker functionality to these repositories. This now means institutional repositories using Eprints or Dspace, whether locally installed or hosted by 3rd party services such as  Eprints Services or OpenRepository, are eligible join IRUS-UK. We are actively looking to make IRUS-UK tracker functionality available for other repository software platforms.  IRUS-UK is a Jisc-funded, national aggregation service which contains usage data for *all* content downloaded from participating UK IRs."
