Summary:

"Open Educational Resources (OER) are currently on everybody’s lip and many initiatives all over the world promote such resources. On the one hand, the concept of freely usable learning and teaching material is a great opportunity to improve education, on the other hand the question of sustainable business models arises - especially for private education institutions in the further education sector. The MEDEAnet workshop provides a theoretical and practical framework to develop a draft concept and strategies for using and producing OER in the (private) further education sector. Firstly, there will be a general introduction into OER. Secondly, the participants will develop business models and strategies in small groups. Finally, the results will be discussed with the other participants. So the participants will be able to get to know the opportunities and challenges that come with OER and introduce a corresponding business model in their institution ..."
