How figshare can help institutions with the EPSRC Research Data Management Policy

Summary:

"On May 1st 2015, EPSRC (the main UK government agency for funding research and training in engineering and the physical sciences) will expect all the organisations of those they fund to be compliant with their guidelines with regards to the ‘exploitation of research results and collaborative research.’ Research organisations will have to ensure that EPSRC-funded research data is securely preserved for a minimum of 10 years and if it appears that proper sharing of research data is being obstructed, EPSRC reserves the right to impose appropriate sanctions. Of course, this standpoint is one which figshare heartily endorses, as it is closely aligned to our goals for the future of academia ..."
