"The idea that scientific data should be FAIR — Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable — is one increasingly endorsed by scientific institutions including the United States National Academies of Science Engineering and Medicine, the European Commission, and the Wellcome Trust. But it is yet to gain much traction among the people that ultimately matter, the scientists generating the data.
