peter.suber's bookmarks 2021-09-22

Summary:

"As part of Metadata 20/20’s “Your Turn” campaign, the community has expressed interest in exploring and sharing how open metadata can be negotiated into contract language for those accessing and using scholarly resources and other research outputs. As an effort to amplify this discussion, Metadata 20/20 is assisting with organizing a webinar that

- Shares stories from those who have incorporated metadata clauses, including how they did so and what they learned in the process. - Highlights organizations that are starting the exploration process of including contractual metadata clauses, with why they feel this step is important. - Provides a forum for collecting resources to support the documentation of guidelines, best practices, and/or tips and tricks about metadata in contracts."
