Monday, November 3, at 9 am, at the Main Hall 1 of the Department of Economics, Business, Environmental and Quantitative Methods, will open the two-day conference, organized on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the Declaration of Messina dedicated to Open Access, which will culminate in the celebration Conference to be held Tuesday, November 4, at 9 am, at the Aula Magna of the University.
During the second day, the delegates of universities and research institutions will be asked to sign the Road Map 2014-2018, a document that will mark the new lines of action for the 'Italian road to open access' ... The Conference, which was sponsored by the CRUI, with the participation of Prof. Massimo Marrelli, Rector of the University of Naples Federico II and President of the Library of CRUI, and will be a new opportunity for reflection and discussion on the positive effects in terms of visibility and impact of the results of scientific research, the model of scientific communication based on open access can provide. This will be discussed with important Italian and foreign guests, among them Bernard Rentier, Rector of the University of Liege, Cameron Neylon of Public Library of Science, and Pierre Mounier Open Edition. Also intervene Celina Ramjoué, the European Commission, outlining the policies of open access to scientific publications and data of the European funded research on which the European Commission intends to base the re-launch of the research ..."
