Talk w Jeff Mukogosi (Joan's Dad)

- Health insurance companies collect data from provider-connected testing and vaccine sites

    - if a member chooses not to report insurance at public testing and vaccination sites OR if they go to a non-provider testing site, insurance company (and employer) CANNOT collect that data

    - in this case, health insurance companies and employers must collect information through member/employee confirmation (eg. questionnaires upon entry to doctor's appointment or workplace)

- Health insurance companies do not mandate or promote health surveillance technology because of the cost.

-Third-party health data collectors have extremely strict data sharing terms and cannot cross-share data.

-Health insurance companies can punish workplaces that are reckless with employee health

-Broad legislation on vaccinations allows health insurance companies to vaccinate liberally
