"The University of Southern Indiana (USI), Evansville Indiana, David L. Rice Library has a position available for a Reference and Scholarly Communication Librarian.

The Reference and Scholarly Communication Librarian will lead the library’s scholarly communication efforts, including directing related assessment activities and providing research instruction for faculty members, library staff members, and students on scholarly communications issues, and provide reference service. This librarian will remain current on scholarly publishing matters and information technologies that affect access and preservation of scholarly information. This librarian will lead efforts to design and deliver systematic and sustainable approaches to scholarly communication outreach. This librarian will engage with the scholarly community both within and outside the university in order to inform, support, and advance the library’s scholarly communication programs and goals. This librarian will consult with faculty, staff, and students about publishing choices, understanding publishing agreements, and rights retention, as well as copyright issues. This librarian will perform periodic assessments of the campus environment with regard to scholarly communication issues, develop and maintain research guides to support USI programs, and develop and maintain the library’s copyright information page.
