"Inchcoombe says researchers should be able to access the results of specialists in their own fields, documented sufficiently for them to replicate and build on the experiments.

'If we can provide consistent access to curated versions of the experimental results — which we can in a digital world — we stand a much better chance of ensuring science is genuinely reproducible and of building on it. We are nowhere near that at the moment.'"
