Summary:

"When

26 – 27 July 2017

Where

Brussels, Belgium

IFLA will be represented by Ariadna Matas, Policy and Research Officer

IFLA will attend a seminar organised by Education International, looking at new approaches to use of intellectual property rules in teaching and learning. Exploring themes such as Open Educational Resources, Open Access, and broader copyright reform, the meeting is an opportunity to explore whether current rules are fit for purpose. It will discuss progress can be made in Brussels and at the World Intellectual Property Organisation in order to ensure that copyright promotes, rather than prevents, the development of new and more effective forms of education."
