"Intended for faculty, deans and administrators interested in adopting open textbooks to increase student success, this Open Education Week panel discussion, moderated by University Librarian Scott Walter, will present the perspectives of Pablo Gomez, Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology, Chris Diaz, Digital Publishing Librarian at Northwestern University, and Joshua Kaufman from the Student Government Association on various issues related to open textbook adoption, such as the challenges and time investment required by faculty, potential benefits to students, both financially and pedagogically, and strategies for successfully implementing this initiative. Time for questions will be provided. Pizza will be provided. Panel discussion starts at noon.
