The Northeast Regional OER Conference Committee, along with Lumen Learning, invite you to share your ground-breaking ideas, research and best practices in Open Education Resources. For more information about this event, visit the Northeast OER Summit website .
Submit a conference presentation proposal and plan to join your colleagues for this conference on 5/31 & 6/1, 2018 at UMASS Amherst in Amherst, MA.
All presenters will be expected to register and pay for their attendance to this low-cost event. Details of registration, including costs will be available mid-March.
We invite proposals with a focus on the following areas:
- Understanding OER (includes introduction to OER, open licensing, shared examples of OER, and discussion of OER adoption models)
- Teaching and Learning with Free and Open Educational Resources (includes ways to find and use free, CC licensed and public domain content, and incorporating open pedagogy)
- The Value of Open (includes benefits of OER and open pedagogy, examples of OER initiatives, research on OER, and data on the impact of OER)
- Implementing and Scaling OER Initiatives (includes collaboration, starting your initiative, policy, strategies, structure and process, and communicating about OER)..."
