Scientific progress depends on the efficient sharing of reliable research findings, which requires transparency and openness. With SourceData, EMBO is building a platform to share scientific figures and make the underlying source data discoverable. We will further discuss how new technologies such as artificial intelligence may assist in the dissemination of quality-controlled scientific knowledge.
