Context

OpenEdition is a research infrastructure based in France, dedicated to open access humanities and social sciences publications.

Openedition coordinates the HIRMEOS project, funded by the Horizon 2020 program.

The HIRMEOS project "High Integration of Research Monograph in the European Open Science Infrastructure" allows to develop five platforms publishing open access monographs in SHS (OpenEdition, OAPEN, Ubiquity Press, Gottingen University Press, EKT e-publishing) by adding new features.

For Openedition, 5 sets of services are concerned: identification services (DOI, ORCID, Fundref), NERD services, certification services (DOAB), open annotation services (Hypothes.is) and alternative metrics.

Mission

As part of setting up the annotation service with Hypothes.is, OpenEdition is recruiting a Mission Manager to assist publishers in using annotations on the OpenEdition Books platform and to carry out a revision project. Open Peer Review based on this annotation service.

A report will be returned after this experiment.

Main activities

Writing tutorials and documentation for users

Publishers' awareness of open annotation in academic publications

Organization of meetings and videoconferences with publishers

Animation of the presentation sessions

Internet review of existing and past peer-reviewed experiments and evaluation practices

Literature review on open peer review.

Editorial support of authors participating in the experiment

Editorial support for commentators and evaluators involved in the experiment

Coordination with the editorial teams participating in the experiment

Writing an experimental report in English

Associated activities

Participation in working meetings of HIRMEOS project (traveling abroad)

Coordination with the Books department, the IT sector and the OpenEdition International Development department

Main skills
