Goettingen. The annual conference of the German Initiative for Network Information (DINI) takes place under the motto »Open Science - Digital Change in Research and Teaching« from 6 to 7 November in Bielefeld.

Open Science refers to the cultural change towards a more open scientific system. Central fields of action of Open Science are the transformation of scientific publishing from subscription to open access, the management of an ever-increasing mass of digital research data and the use of open educational resources (OER).

This year's conference of the German Initiative for Network Information (DINI) is dedicated to the challenges and opportunities of Open Science. The speakers of the conference (among others from the Association of European Research Libraries - LIBER, German Research Foundation - DFG and European Commission) will be engaged in lectures and discussions, among others with the following topics:

Development of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC),

Realization of the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI),

DEAL - nationwide licensing of offers from major science publishers.

The conference will take place from 6 to 7 November 2018 in the Stadthalle Bielefeld. The local organizer of the annual conference is the Bielefeld University Library.
