Summary:

"Open Access Week is held in October each year, which is an international event about open access. Open access is a broad, international academic movement that strives for online access to freely available, freely accessible academic information, such as journal publications and data.

Open access affects everyone that uses this information: researchers, students, and teachers. Open access is also changing the landscape for providers of information, such as publishers and  libraries. This year, Leeuwarden’s libraries (the libraries of Van Hall Larenstein, NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences, dbieb and Tresoar) are actively participating for the first time in the Open Access Week. By collaborating together, we are organising an event ‘Open Science, Open Mind’ that consists of various lectures and workshops from the 14th  October – 17th October...."
