Introducing ... Copim Compass: Guiding you through the choppy waters of open access book resources | Copim

We are excited to present Copim Compass, a comprehensive tool suite developed by Copim's Open Book Futures project.

One of the deliverables of Copim's Open Book Futures project is to establish a ‘knowledge base’ to provide comprehensive resources on alternative funding models and modes of publishing, acquiring and archiving open access (OA) books, alongside new training and guidance on archiving and preservation best practice. 

Following a scoping exercise and accompanying report, we realised there were a bewildering number of OA book resources already out there in the wild - numerous OA initiatives, open infrastructures, policies, best practice guidelines, explanatory guides, how-to toolkits for OA publishing, and many more. Even for those immersed in OA books, the landscape can be overwhelming and it can be difficult to know where to look for reliable information.
