Summary:

"2024 marks a significant milestone for Romania as it officially joins the global open science movement through centralized open access agreements. This year, Romanian researchers will gain the ability to publish their work open access (OA) thanks to transformative agreements, such as the one recently negotiated between IOP Publishing and Anelis Plus, the Association of Romanian Universities, Research & Development Institutes, and Central University Libraries.

This transformative agreement is a pivotal component of Romania's strategy and detailed Action Plan for National Open Access to Scientific Information, aligned with financial support from the Ministry of Education."
