"Back in May, the Berlin House of Representatives unanimously passed a motion to develop an open-access strategy for the State of Berlin. With this step, Berlin wants to promote open access to scientific results that arise at universities and research institutions in the capital. In the application ( PDF ) states that: 'The scientific institutions in Berlin are invited to develop their own open access strategies to ensure that scientific publications and other digital objects such as research data or scientific software that arises in the context of scientific work, accessible to everyone and be made nachnutzbar. ' To promote this objective, an 'open-access network of representatives of scientific institutions' should be installed. This network will be supported by an 'open-access office'.
