Summary:

[From Google's English] "It is a difficult but promising year for the Creative Commons. We have made some significant progress, found new leadership and cultivated network of partners. But common (commons) are still at risk and we have much to do. Last November, he released the Version 4.0 license Creative Commons. The new license is a huge achievement and represents years of work by dozens of dedicated people - including some of the foremost experts in the world of copyright. Version 4.0 is the most international set of licenses so far and would not be possible without the expertise and effort of the partner network of Creative Commons. It is also the most versatile, covers use cases that no one would have thought 11 years ago. And this would not have happened without the diverse community of users who are pushing for permits to go further. Without these communities, Creative Commons licenses would be an interesting idea and nothing more. With them, the CC is a growing, progressive movement that redefines how the knowledge, culture and information sharing. Partners give the CC licenses interesting and meaningful to the tireless work to build communities around open licensing and open practices. Last year, the staff of CC, management, colleagues and the community met in Buenos Aires to plan long-term future. Together, we agreed that the licenses themselves will not achieve our dream of greater access to knowledge and culture around the world. The laws should be changed also. A few weeks later, formalize our public stance in support of the comprehensive reform of copyright. We urge lawmakers to consider the unintended consequences of overly restrictive copyright laws. And we got in this position just because our community has led us to this ,,,"
