[From Google's English] "Based on the preparatory work of the Open Access Board - composed of members of the faculties, centers and service facilities - the Rectorate has adopted a "Open Access Strategy the University of Vienna." This includes the main principles of the University of Vienna on this topic and encourages the researchers, their publications via an institutional repository (u: scholar) to make freely available ( Green trail of Open Access ) and increasingly in open access journals to publish ( Golden Lane of the Open Access ).  The guidelines of the Open Access Policy at the University of Vienna:  [1] The University of Vienna expects the employees working for their researchers that they each publication of a complete version in 'u: scholar,' the university's publication archive (Institutional Repository), deposit freely accessible, if not contrary to legal obstacles. [2] The University of Vienna recommends its researchers, their academic work increasingly publish in Open Access journals, provided appropriate journals with peer review procedures are available, especially if they are listed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (doaj.org) . [3] The University of Vienna encourages initiatives to convert from issued at the University of Vienna journals on Open Access. Establishment of new journals can only be funded in the future, if these are published under the open access model and were evaluated positively in an external evaluation ..."
