"I recently read about the new EBSCO policy on metadata sharing with discovery tool vendors. EBSCO announced the possibility of working together with discovery tool vendors and sharing metadata from more than 170 full-text databases. Before the announcement, the only way to access this information was by using the EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) API. The company currently offers the content that it is licensed to offer. They are now working to add new content under this new policy, but need the commitment of the publishers to make it possible. Not all types of information are included in the new policy. It does not include abstract and indexing databases ..."
