"The April 30, 2015 President Obama announced in an online event held in the Library Anacostia in Washington, the development of the initiative Ebooks Open Initiative with the aim of coordinating efforts to help children develop a love of reading and discovery by providing access to electronic books available to young people in low-income families. The initiative garlic direction and coordination of the Institute of Museum and Library Services three nonprofit organizations. Digital Public Library of America ( DPLA ), the New York Public Library , and First Book . Open Initiative Ebooks contain hundreds of free public domain titles for all children. Children can access these electronic books, which include some of the most popular works of the present and the past, and read all they like without incurring any costs. Reading e-books is growing rapidly and must be available to all children and youth, regardless of family income. For this, the New York Public Library is creating an application that will allow children to read electronic books in a wide variety of devices, including tablets that have been donated as part of the Connected initiative of the President and through smart phones are being used more Again by Americans for reading among Americans.
