Summary:

"Funding Team ... The Open Access Button needs sustainable funding and support in order to grow in 2014 and beyond. Along with the Funding Lead, you will be part of a core team responsible for making this happen. As part of the funding team, all members will be involved in setting the direction of funding strategy and in the application process. Training and support will be provided for the right applicants. Don’t hesitate to contact Georgina on getaylor@gmail.com for any questions or to see where you might fit in the team. Treasury Assistant ... The Treasury Assistant will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of budgets, covering aspects of the project from travel and events to development. You will be reporting to the Funding Lead, and presenting budgets to other teams and committees within the Open Access Button structure as needed. Our ideal candidate will be based in the UK to facilitate handling of our accounts, and potentially handle meetings with local partners. Ideally you will have previous experience managing the budget for an organisation or student group; and/or have an understanding of accounting through your studies. Great oral communication skills will help you when meeting our partners face-to-face. Commitment would include weekly funding team meetings and regular access to email and google docs to keep budgets up to date. Initially more hours will be required to create new budget docs. The opportunity to attend partner meetings will add hours and travel, depending on the location of the successful applicant."
