The new rules of the SNSF
Until now, the paper publication of academic books was funded primarily by universities and by the NSF because these books, specialized knowledge prints between 300 and 800 copies that do not allow to ensure the financing by sales only. The SNSF now wants to change the rules, according to three significant changes:
1. The first is no longer subsidize the publication of books in paper format and to grant aid to the publication for an electronic version of the book alone, according to a new much lower fee schedule;

The FNS intends not support the publication of doctoral theses in electronic format at height 6,000 CHF, a significant reduction in aid and a lesser amount than other books 3. Finally.
