Summary:
"The Publishing and Open Repository Administrator manages the full spectrum of daily operations for two large systems: our institutional repository platform, Tennessee Research and Creative Exchange (TRACE), as well as V.O.L Journals, our journal publishing service. This position designs and develops service strategies, technical solutions, communication workflows and policies for the publishing services delivered by these systems. This position tests and assesses the success of these services.
The position independently identifies and resolves complex technical problems related to these platforms. Through active fostering feedback from stakeholders, data, and awareness of professional trends, this position will judge competing priorities and policies to deliver responsive products. This has primary responsibility for leading communication with internal groups, managing vendor relationships, and serving users at the institution and around the world.
This position leads the identification of problems and opportunities and develops and implements solutions and to improve the platform and meet the needs of a range of users. This position will work with various vendors to integrate their products into these platforms...."
