Summary:

From Google's English:  "What can works published under open access licenses be used for in the context of artificial intelligence (AI)?

What are the limits of changes to works made using AI?

Artificial intelligence opens up completely new possibilities for using works in the digital space: whether it is about support in the formulation and translation of texts or in the generation of ideas, the scientific use of large language models or the generation of memes or videos for entertainment, there is an AI-based application that supports this. However, the general legal requirements still apply. But what limits are set, for example, by copyright or personal rights and by the EU's new AI regulation? This oa.talk will present the current framework.

The lecture will be given by Elke Brehm, legal specialist, deputy legal advisor and data protection officer at the Technical Information Library. Anyone who would like to learn more about the legal framework for the reuse of publications by AI is invited. After the lecture, which lasts around half an hour, there will be an opportunity to discuss questions. Prior registration is not required."
