"This survey, part of a two-year planning grant designed to articulate the role of academic libraries and library consortia in increasing the relevance of open educational resources (OER), explores the following topics:

• Current role(s) libraries and consortia see themselves occupying in OER/open education efforts broadly;
• Challenges that prevent academic libraries and consortia from collaborating in efforts to increase the relevance of OER in local contexts specifically;
• Optimal roles for academic libraries and consortia to support OER adaptation and creation practices that lead to increased relevance in local contexts;
• The kinds of resources and support that are necessary to increase the relevance of OER in local contexts...."
