"The current levels of implementation of transformative agreements, which aim to facilitate the transition from subscription-based journal publishing to full open access, are insufficient to bring about a large-scale transition to full open access (OA), according to the findings of a new study.

Titled “How open are hybrid journals included in transformative agreements?” and published in Quantitative Science Studies on 12 January, the study, authored by Najko Jahn from the University of Göttingen in Germany, analysed over 700 agreements and 9 million journal articles over five years (2018 to 2022)...."
