There was a large variance in repository adoption of good practices, with close to half of repositories having one or more issues with basic discoverability of their resources

At many institutions, there is often little intervention by repository staff to add and curate metadata and it is the researcher or their student who deposits content and adds metadata

Most participants expressed desire to improve their practices and the functionality of the repository, however, many were not able to do so because of resource and skills limitations

While many institutions were interested in adopting new innovations, they often did not have the technical expertise to support this
