Each topic is treated separately in an encyclopedic article published in English and French, which synthesizes several sources such as scientific publications, reports, bibliographic resources and data.

Conceived from the outset as a common good, each article is published under a free license, in two spaces: a first time in the form of an encyclopedic article on the website encyclo.ouvrirlascience.fr , and a second time in the form of an independently updated Wikipedia article. The Wikipedia version will evolve autonomously with the collective contribution system of the collaborative encyclopedia."
