Summary:

Launched in February 2013. "Science Open Access Journals (SOAJ) is a gateway to open access publications in the sciences.  Using federated search technology, SOAJ allows the user to search multiple open access publications with a single query.  The query is sent simultaneously to each individual database searched by SOAJ, providing the user with real-time, up-to-the-minute results.  A consolidated, relevance-ranked results list is produced, which directs the user to the originating sources for access to the full text documents.  Results lists may be emailed or saved, and the user also has the option to create Alerts for automatic updates on specific areas of interest."
