SEDAC releases the Global Roads Open Access Data Set, version 1 (gROADSv1) | EOSDIS - Earth Data Website

"The Socioeconomic Data and Applications Center (SEDAC) released the Global Roads Open Access Data Set, version 1 (gROADSv1). This dataset combines the best available intercity roads data by country into a global roads coverage, using the UN Spatial Data Infrastructure Transport (UNSDI-T) version 2 as a common data model. It was developed in collaboration with the Committee on Data for Science and Technology (CODATA) Global Roads Data Development Task Group. The purpose of the data set is to provide an open access, well documented global data set of roads between settlements using a consistent data model (UNSDI-T v.2) which is, to the extent possible, topologically integrated.
