"It is a pleasure to announce the formation of the Journal of Open Access to Law – JOAL a new biannual, open access, peer-reviewed journal in fields related to open access to law and legal information.
JOAL is planning as the first journal of the Free Access to Law community.
The principal aim of JOAL is to provide an international forum for academic research, as well for the professional legal publishing arena. The focus is on the new trends of open access debate on central subject-matters, such as the critical construction of legal information methods, the governance of new legal models of publishing, the relationship between free law and technology, open access to law projects, the technical challenges and economic opportunities of the exploitation of open access to law,  linked open data libraries and cloud, citiziens' rights and challenges for the rule of law.
JOAL invites interested academics, academically oriented practitioners, professionals, experts in ICT and law, to submit manuscripts for its first issue to be published in September and presented at the Conference “Law via the Internet” in September 2013...."
