OA mandate of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences – how effective is it? : OpenAIRE blog

peter.suber's bookmarks 2017-01-27

Summary:

"Statistics are available for the Academy for the years 2014 and 2015: in both cases somewhat less than 60% of the papers conform to the mandate (Open Access or under embargo).  For the six largest universities data are available for 2015: between 13-30% of the output is Open Access, and there seems to be little correlation with the existence of a mandate. Mandates could be too recent to effect the results and researchers might not be aware of the fact they need to tag green or hybrid OA papers in MTMT."
