Open Science 2020: infrastructural aspects of open science in Slovenia – NI4OS- Europe

Summary:
After organising two well-attended open science events, first in Ljubljana in 2018 and second in Maribor in 2019, the Young Academy of Slovenia (Mlada akademija) this year organised a series of four online events that took place during the International Open Access Week 2020 between October 19 and 22.
The events were co-organised with the Slovenian Ministry of Education, Science and Sport as a part of the National Science Month.
They focused on four topics:
- Plan S: what should researchers know about Plan S? by Gareth O’Neill, Plan S ambassador and doctoral candidate at Leiden University
- Reproducibility: open science tools and services for your scientific work by prof dr. Michael Bosnjak, director of The Leibniz Institute for Psychology Information
- European Open Science Cloud: infrastructural aspects of open science in Slovenia by Dunja Legat, MSc, NI4OS-Europe representative from the University of Maribor Library
- Research assessment: roundtable about research assessment and DORA with guests prof. dr. Janja Hojnik from the University of Maribor, prof. dr. Gregor Majdič from the University of Ljubljana and Miro Pušnik, MSc, director of the Central Technical Library.
