"Last month, +Caroline Sutton, +Amanda Page, and I released the third edition of our catalog of open-access journals published by scholarly societies. (I'm delighted to repeat: We found 832 societies publishing 780 full or non-hybrid OA journals.) Our OA catalog indicates the country of origin for each journal. But now we can display this information plotted on a map, and not just listed in a spreadsheet. Or more precisely, maps. The Google API can't handle all the data in our catalog, so we had to split the geographic representation into three maps. You may view them in Google Maps or by download in Google Earth.
