LERU launches statements on Open Access and Open data - LERU : League of European Research Universities

"The League of European Research Universities (LERU) has launched two statements on the importance of Open Scholarship: ‘Open Access to Research Publications’ and ‘Open Research Data’." The announcement is dated December 13, 2012, but both the statements are undated.  

From the statement on OA to research publications: "[A] real sign of success at an institutional level will be for researchers to agree an institutional mandate where, copyright permissions allowing, all research outputs from the institution are deposited in Open Access in the institutional repository."

From the statement open data: "Research funders increasingly lay stringent requirements on the researchers they fund to manage their research data....Universities should implement data

management policies..."
