Summary:
Abstract: This article argues that to address greenhouse gas (GHG) measurement and management and the broader climate challenge, public access to additional types of mitigation-relevant information will be needed to complement the existing quantitative information on GHG emissions from countries, sectors, products and companies. Specifically, information and suitable indicators on investment in climate-friendly and mainstream fossil energy infrastructure will be needed to support decision makers in anticipating and detecting economic and political trends of climate relevance.
