Summary:

Report from the Danish UNESCO meeting in December 2010. "According to the report of the Open Access Committee, the Committee has prepared recommendations that use golden as well as green Open Access. However, the Committee stresses the fact that green Open Access at the moment seems to be the most practicable path as the necessary infrastructure is readily available in Denmark....The Open Access Committee recommends that a national Open Access policy be formulated, which includes all institutions that do research and/or disseminate research based on total or partial public funding. The basic view is that as far as possible there should be free access to the results of publicly funded research....The final debate was in no way conclusive, but during the day and the different interventions and debates a number of key challenges and problems were highlighted...."
