Some important issues that were addressed: [1] advocating and lobbying for Open Access at a political level; [2] flashing out economic aspects of Open Access; liaising with funding parties; [3] focusing on quality improvement of Open Access journals/publishing and repositories; [4] creating awareness amongst researchers; [5] creating a follow up plan for mandatory policies; [6] creating an Open Access Road Map; and [7] establishing liaisons and partnerships between publishers and repository managers...."
