Connotea Imports 2012-07-31

Summary:

Sweden's Royal Library (KB) adopted an OA policy. From Google's English: "KB supports the development of Open Access publishing in higher education both in the form of open repositories in universities and the Swedish scientific Open Access journals. KB seems to Swedish researchers, Open Access publishing is facilitated in the context of national licenses for electronic journals. When KB digitizing non-copyrighted materials from their collections should be made freely available on the Internet. When KB's employees in their employment are published in scientific magazines and journals, they claim the right to make their articles freely available on the Internet through the Library's Web site within six months. The publications that KB issue should normally be made freely available on the internet without delay. KB uses the Creative Commons licenses to make the conditions for the use of KB-publications in all cases where applicable. The metadata that KB produces and compiles will be available free to use and reuse without restriction of any third party...."
