Universiteiten bereiken akkoord met Elsevier over Open Access - Folia

"After more than a year of negotiations with Elsevier, the Dutch universities, united in the VSNU, signed a deal with the publisher. Elsevier is the world's largest scientific publisher and was the most difficult negotiating partner; with other publishers we reached agreements earlier. The intention is that by 2018 30 percent of Dutch scientists who write the articles in Elsevier magazines is freely accessible. Scientists do not have to pay for it, as is still the case now ..."
