June 2013 antibiotic resistance study

If you have an interested in antibiotic resistance, this is the site of a new study, released in June 2013. The last sentence of the abstract tells you the summation of the study. I do believe that we should continue to use public health issues as a strong reason to fight huge hog confinements.

The sentence Joyce is referring to is: “Exposure to low levels of antibiotics should be prevented as much as possible, because this causes resistance far more than high concentrations that inhibit growth or kill the cell and thus prevent acquisition of resistance.”
