Rebecca S. Dayton, 51, of Grinnell, died on Friday, September 13, 2013, of injuries she received in a motorcycle accident near Brooklyn.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 19, 2013, at Herrick Chapel on the Grinnell College campus.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell beginning 12 noon on Wednesday, September 18, 2013. The family will be present at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Memorials may be directed to the American Alzheimer's Association and sent in care of the Smith Funeral Home, P.O. Box 368, Grinnell, IA 50112.
She is survived by her companion, Carter VandeStouwe of Grinnell; her children, Garry W. Dayton of Montezuma, Delaney (Dustin) Sharp of Grinnell, Ryan Dayton and Matthew Dayton, both of Ames; her father, Larry Snider of St. George, Utah; her mother, Linda Patten of Grinnell; and one brother, Doug Snider of Waterloo.
