Meet Vuyani!
Peer to Peer University 2022-06-02
My name is Vuyani Shabangu. I am originally from a country called Eswatini (formerly Swaziland), but I am currently in Centurion, South Africa. I am super excited to be a part of the P2PU community. I am a Software Developer by profession and I will be helping out with some of the tech stuff at P2PU. One of the things I am most passionate about is collaborating with others to build software that has a good impact on society. In the past, I’ve had the privilege of contributing to startups that help people take control of their financial health, help medical professionals operate more efficiently, and help young entrepreneurs access helpful resources and advice. I also have a passion project that tries to help resolve the effects of racial inequality in South Africa by providing consumers with rewards for supporting young black entrepreneurs. When I am not behind my laptop, I can be found trying to make my two-month-old son laugh, making tea for my wife, mentoring students at the University of Pretoria, or trying to look like I know what I am doing at the gym. I can’t wait to meet more people from the P2PU community and to contribute to the creation of more amazing learning circles.
