American Council on Education (ACE) Comments in Response to US Department of Education’s Proposed Changes to Title IX

On September 12, 2022, ARL joined ACE in comments thanking the US Federal Government for proposing changes that would allow colleges and universities the flexibility and clarity to address sex-based discrimination, and for broadening sex-based discrimination to include gender discrimination and sexual identity. The comments also recommend that the government address pregnancy in a separate rulemaking in light of the recent US Supreme Court decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization.
